- Jayden did very well in class today. He was very focused on completing his four seasons activity. The teacher explained to the students to draw a picture for each of the four seasons. He was very attentive to the activity and the teachers explanations before starting the activity on their own. Yunus, a friend of Jayden likes to come over quite often and interrupt Jayden's learning. Today Yunus tried to come over and try to color Jayden's pictures. Jayden did not do anything about it, he allowed for Yunus to do it. It seems to me that Jayden allows for his classmates to do whatever he wants with him, or that Jayden does not like for conflict.
- After drawing the pictures of the four seasons, the students were instructed to complete a writing assessment on writing out all the four seasons, then describing one. This was an activity we had to explain, then we could not help out the students after. The students were allowed to use the pictures they had just drawn as an outline and reminder of what the four seasons were. Jayden approached me shortly after giving the instructions, and all I did was tell him the instructions. Jayden smiled at me then went back to his chair.
- Jayden turned in his paper, and only listed the four seasons as they were on his outline. There was no complete sentences made or any description on one of the four seasons.
- After Jayden turned in his paper he grabbed a book and built a fort of folders in a corner for him to read. I watched Jayden build his fort. He spent more time trying to fix his fort and make it bigger than actually reading.

- Today, we spent most of the day doing reading groups since most of the class could not focus. The teacher explained to the students to read individually, then she would switch them over to partner reading. Jayden was doing well alone in a corner trying to read by himself. He seems to seclude himself from other students, possibly knowing that they are a distraction.
- The teacher finally allowed for the students to read in partners. Yunus, Jayden's friend came over and started to read "No David, No". This book is very distracting to most children since it has a picture of David's butt. Jayden and Yunus kept giggling about this book, so i came over and asked them to turn the book ever to me. They did , and i asked them to then start taking turns reading a book.
- Jayden tried to read to Yunus, but Yunus became quickly bored an started to play with a water bottle. Jayden then noticed the water bottle and told Yunus that that was his. They argued about the water bottle for a bit, but eventually Jayden gave in and told Yunus he could keep the water bottle. This to me shows that Jayden possibly really does not like confrontation even after knowing that something is his.
- Jayden went back to reading, and Yunus kept playing with the water bottle. The teacher made an example of how well Jayden was doing reading by giving him more Dojo points. In doing so Jayden became more motivated to keep reading and asked Yunus to pay attention.

- Today is Jesey/ hat day at the school. Jayden came in with a Bronco's Jersey, green gloves and glasses to class. The teacher nor i told him to take the glasses off, as it was not disrupting any class activities. He unpacked his stuff, went to his seat and pulled his writing journal. I sat next to Jayden and asked him what page he was on, since he seemed further behind his classmates.
- Sure enough, Jayden is doing numbers instead of working on the letter G. I asked Jayden if he needed help and he said yes. Jayden still had his glasses and his gloves on I asked for him to take them off so he can see better, and he then hesitantly took them off. I helped Jayden get caught up with his classmates as far as he could
- Jayden was far behind in his reading journal activity, he was doing number recognition, then writing out how to sellout that number. Jayden did not know most of the numbers including , 22, 74, 37, and 28. I had to help Jayden in recognizing these numbers then I helped him in spelling them out. When i helped him in spelling, I helped him phonetically. At times that when I sounded out certain words he was still confused with what letter he should write down, After I told him the proper letter I explained to him the sound it made.
- Jayden was enthusiastic about my help at first, but within finishing the first of 3 pages I was begging to lose Jayden's attention. We eventually finished the activity at a little bit of a slower pace since I was having Hayden do the most work he could by himself. I thought this would help him see me as more of a source of help rather than a source for answers.
